EngineerSpeak Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how EngineerSpeak collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the EngineerSpeak website, interview practice tools, AI-powered feedback, speech-processing features, and related services.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how EngineerSpeak ("EngineerSpeak", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the EngineerSpeak website, interview practice tools, AI-powered feedback, speech-processing features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
We believe privacy information should be understandable. This Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, when third-party service providers may receive it, and what choices and rights you may have.
By using EngineerSpeak, you acknowledge the data-processing practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who Controls Your Personal Data
The data controller responsible for EngineerSpeak is:
Contact email: adimin@aintelect.com
This information will be updated if the legal entity operating EngineerSpeak changes.
2. Information We Collect
The information we process depends on how you use the Service. It may include:
- account information;
- profile and interview preferences;
- voice input;
- speech transcripts;
- technical interview answers;
- AI-generated evaluations and scores;
- interview and learning history;
- payment-related information;
- device and technical information;
- security and application logs;
- cookies and similar technologies; and
- communications you send to us.
We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a specific feature and clearly explained to you.
3. Account and Profile Information
When you create an EngineerSpeak account, we may collect information such as:
- your name or display name;
- email address;
- authentication information;
- preferred interface language;
- native language;
- interview language;
- profession or technical specialization;
- selected technologies;
- experience level; and
- other preferences you choose to provide.
We use this information to create and maintain your account, personalize interview practice, select relevant technical questions, provide progress tracking, and operate the Service.
You should not provide personal information that is not necessary for your use of EngineerSpeak.
4. Voice Data and Speech Recognition
EngineerSpeak allows users to answer interview questions using voice. When you use voice-based features, we process audio input for the purpose of converting speech into text and providing interview-related functionality.
Raw voice recordings
We do not use raw voice recordings for advertising. We do not sell raw voice recordings. Raw audio is processed only for as long as reasonably necessary to perform speech recognition and related functionality.
Unless we clearly tell you otherwise before recording or storage occurs, raw voice recordings are not retained as part of your permanent EngineerSpeak account history.
Speech recognition providers
Speech recognition may be performed on infrastructure operated or controlled by EngineerSpeak or by third-party speech-recognition or cloud service providers acting on our behalf.
If a third-party provider is used for speech recognition, the audio necessary to perform that functionality may be transmitted to and temporarily processed by that provider.
Our technical infrastructure and speech-recognition providers may change as EngineerSpeak develops. We require providers processing personal data on our behalf to handle such information subject to applicable contractual, privacy, and security requirements.
5. Transcripts and Interview Answers
After speech recognition, EngineerSpeak may create a text transcript of your spoken answer. Unlike raw audio, transcripts may be stored as part of your account and interview history.
We may process and store:
- the transcript of your answer;
- manually entered answers;
- normalized or corrected versions of an answer;
- the interview question associated with your answer;
- technical evaluations;
- language evaluations;
- scores;
- identified strengths and weaknesses;
- learning recommendations; and
- related interview-session information.
We use this information to provide interview feedback, track learning progress, identify recurring areas for improvement, and allow you to review previous interview sessions.
6. Artificial Intelligence Processing
EngineerSpeak uses artificial intelligence systems to evaluate answers and provide technical and language feedback. To provide these features, text such as your interview transcript, question context, and relevant instructions may be transmitted to third-party AI providers.
These providers may include services offered by companies such as OpenAI, Google, xAI, and other AI providers that we may use in the future.
We do not need to send raw voice recordings to an AI language model when text is sufficient for the requested evaluation. Only information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant AI-powered functionality should be transmitted.
AI providers may process data on infrastructure located in different countries, subject to their applicable service agreements, data-processing terms, and legal safeguards. The particular AI models and providers used by EngineerSpeak may change over time.
7. AI-Generated Evaluations
EngineerSpeak may generate technical scores, English-language scores, answer-quality assessments, explanations, corrected examples, learning recommendations, and other automated feedback.
These evaluations may be associated with your account and stored as part of your learning history. AI-generated evaluations are provided for educational and interview-preparation purposes.
EngineerSpeak does not use these scores to make employment decisions about you. We are not an employer or recruitment agency, and EngineerSpeak scores do not represent an official professional certification.
8. Payments
Payments for EngineerSpeak may be processed by third-party payment providers. Depending on the payment method available, these providers may collect information such as your name, billing information, payment method information, transaction identifiers, payment status, country or region, and information needed for fraud prevention or regulatory compliance.
EngineerSpeak does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment card number. We may retain transaction records such as the amount paid, currency, product purchased, payment status, transaction identifier, refund information, and relevant accounting records.
Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy policies and applicable contractual obligations.
9. Technical and Usage Information
When you access EngineerSpeak, certain technical information may be collected automatically. This may include IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, requested URLs, date and time of access, application errors, performance information, security events, and server and application logs.
We use this information to operate the Service, diagnose technical problems, improve reliability and performance, protect accounts and infrastructure, prevent fraud and abuse, and investigate security incidents.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
EngineerSpeak may use cookies and similar technologies. Some cookies may be necessary for functionality such as authentication, account sessions, security, language preferences, and essential website operation.
We may also use analytics technologies to understand how people use the Service and to improve its functionality. Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies or similar technologies will be used only after obtaining the required consent.
The specific analytics and cookie providers used by EngineerSpeak may change over time. Where appropriate, additional information about these providers and cookie preferences may be provided through a cookie notice or consent interface.
11. How We Use Personal Information
We process personal information for purposes including:
- creating and operating user accounts;
- authenticating users;
- selecting appropriate interview questions;
- performing speech recognition;
- creating interview transcripts;
- evaluating technical answers;

- generating AI-powered explanations and recommendations;

We do not sell personal information for advertising purposes.
12. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar legislation applies, we process personal data only where we have an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the processing activity, this may include:
Performance of a contract
We process information when necessary to provide the EngineerSpeak Service you requested. Examples include maintaining your account, processing your interview answer, performing speech recognition, generating feedback, providing purchased access, and maintaining your interview history.
Legitimate interests
We may process information where necessary for legitimate interests such as securing the Service, preventing fraud, detecting abuse, debugging software, improving reliability, and understanding how the Service performs. We consider the impact of such processing on users' privacy rights.
Consent
We may rely on consent where required, including for certain cookies, marketing communications, or other optional processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent as permitted by applicable law.
Legal obligations
We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory, court, or other legal requirements.
13. Cloud Infrastructure
EngineerSpeak uses cloud infrastructure providers to host and operate parts of the Service. Our infrastructure may include services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud), and other infrastructure providers that we may reasonably use in the future.
Depending on the services used, these providers may process or store information on our behalf, including account information, interview transcripts, database records, application data, technical logs, and other information necessary to operate EngineerSpeak.
Our choice of cloud infrastructure provider may change as the Service develops. A change from one infrastructure provider to another does not change the purposes for which we are permitted to process your personal information under this Privacy Policy.
14. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to third parties only where reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes such as providing and protecting the Service.
Categories of recipients may include cloud and hosting providers, artificial intelligence providers, speech recognition providers, payment processors, analytics and operational providers, professional advisers, and third parties involved in legal or security requirements.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal proceedings, protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, investigate security incidents, or protect users or others from serious harm.
15. Business Transfers
If EngineerSpeak or substantially all of its relevant business or assets is acquired, merged, reorganized, or transferred to another operator, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Where required by applicable law, users will be informed about material changes affecting the controller or processing of their personal data.
16. International Data Transfers
EngineerSpeak operates using technology providers that may process information in different countries. This means that personal information may be processed outside the country in which you live.
Where GDPR or other applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate mechanisms required by law. These mechanisms may include adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, applicable data-transfer frameworks, or other legally recognized safeguards.
Cloud and technology providers may maintain their own contractual safeguards for international transfers.
17. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Raw voice recordings
Raw audio is generally retained only for the period necessary to perform speech recognition and is not intended to form part of permanent account history unless we explicitly disclose otherwise.
Interview transcripts and learning history
Transcripts, scores, feedback, and interview history may be retained while your account remains active so that you can review previous sessions and track progress.
Account information
Account information may be retained while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary for security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Payment and accounting information
Certain payment and transaction records may need to be retained for longer periods to comply with tax, accounting, payment, or other legal obligations.
Technical and security logs
Technical logs may be retained for a limited period appropriate to security, debugging, reliability, and fraud-prevention purposes.
We may anonymize information instead of deleting it where it can no longer reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual.
18. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, destruction, and misuse.
These measures may include encryption, access controls, network security, authentication systems, logging, monitoring, backups, and other appropriate safeguards. However, no Internet service or information-storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and should notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.
19. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the law applicable to you, you may have rights relating to your personal information. These may include the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, obtain a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate or incomplete information, request deletion of personal information, request restriction of certain processing, object to certain processing, receive certain information in a portable format, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with an applicable data-protection authority.
Some rights are subject to legal limitations and may not apply in every situation. For example, we may need to retain certain transaction information even after an account is deleted where retention is required by tax or accounting law.
To exercise applicable privacy rights, contact us at: [PRIVACY EMAIL]
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
20. Account Deletion
Where the functionality is available, you may request deletion of your EngineerSpeak account.
Account deletion may result in deletion or anonymization of information associated with your account, including interview history and learning data, subject to information we must retain for legitimate legal, security, payment, or accounting purposes.
Information that has already been anonymized and can no longer reasonably be associated with you may not be affected by an account-deletion request.
21. Marketing Communications
If you choose to receive promotional emails or similar communications from EngineerSpeak, you may unsubscribe using the mechanism provided in those communications or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary Service communications, such as security notices, payment confirmations, account-related messages, important Service changes, or legal notices.
22. Children's Privacy
EngineerSpeak is intended primarily for adults and professionals preparing for technical interviews.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age at which they may lawfully use the Service without parental authorization under applicable law.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided personal information to EngineerSpeak improperly, please contact us.
23. Third-Party Websites and Services
EngineerSpeak may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to EngineerSpeak.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that you choose to access. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of those services.
24. Changes to Service Providers
EngineerSpeak is an evolving technology service. We may change cloud providers, AI providers, speech-recognition providers, payment providers, analytics providers, or other technical service providers.
We do not intend for routine replacement of one technology provider with another to require rewriting the entire Privacy Policy. However, if a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, retained, or shared, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice where required by applicable law.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in EngineerSpeak functionality, technology, service providers, business operations, or applicable legal requirements.
The current version will always display its effective date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice before material changes take effect.
